*My kids loved those “magic-reveal” coloring books…one marker makes
the all the images appear, and I didn’t have to mess with tons of
crayons or markers. They are about $5 each.
*Snacks are a huge hit.
*We tried using a portable DVD player with a “new” (to them) movie,
but we couldn’t find earphones that fit little heads. We tried using
adult ones, but they kept falling off and making the kids crabby
about the whole thing.
*chewing gum (for their ears) is great
* Any small, but managable, toys. Cars, Littlest Pet Shop, action
figures, etc…but I personally would hide the tiny accessories that
come with some of these sets or they get lost, then you are spending
all your time looking for it and going crazy, etc.
*Any new book. Get a couple of fresh titles from the library.

I’ve never been on a ‘plane with my kiddies, as we haven’t got the money to go anywhere! But I might use this advise when we next make our trip down to wales. a 5/6 hour drive, on the fun! lol.
You came by my old/neglected blog, and I followed you back here

All good advice and we’ve been on a few plane rides with wee ones….and I know not everyone believes in bribery but we add that too….on layovers we find a place where they can run and we make them do races, or push ups or anything to get out some of the wiggles…if it’s a contest they seem to enjoy it.
Enjoyed reading your blog. Sorry you get some ‘haters’ out there. I like reading the thoughts of people who choose to do things differently than I do. I then can question what I am doing and be happy with it, or change it.
